New Romantic, Valley Girl, Power dressing, Leotards and dancewear, Post Punk, Proto Goth, Hair Metal, BLONDIE, CHER, MADONNA! The 80’s silhouette was a very distinctive one. Hair was big, sprayed up, spiky or curly. Shoulders were equally big – Crystal Carrington in Dynasty, anyone....? Tops were big, baggy, belted and bat-winged. Socks were scrunchy and slouchy. Leg Warmers with everything. Pumps, flats, creepers, Jelly Shoes and ankle boots, over the thigh high stiletto heels. Leggings were everywhere, and the painted-on looking skinny jeans and footless tights. Miniskirts, tight and stretchy. Crinolines, bouffed out tutus with bolero jackets. Very few aspects of eighties fashion have missed out on a revival and THE SOCK MAN (Like, totally) carries them all!
